Matt Cipollone '04 reports that several positions for both developers and quality assurance specialists are open in his division at Paychex. The positions will be filled in the next few months, and he encourages interested graduating computer science majors and recent alumns to apply. Desired skills include:
- Programming, testing, debugging, and implementing system changes and new software products.;
- Writing or reviewing requirements and documents, and writing functional and technical specifications within Information Technology;
- Working with prospective clients to help communicate technical functionality and providing clients with technical support.
Writing and executing unit test plans;
- Developing knowledge of operating environments, programming standards, system structures, and specifications;
- Adhering to standards and suggesting opportunities for improvement.
Candidates with experience in Object Oriented Design, and Relational Databases as well as knowledge of C/C++, SQL, PL/SQL, ..NET and Java preferred. Strong organizational skills are also required
