Mikkel Hagen '04,currently a graduate student at the University of New Hampshire in computer science, has authored a white paper discussing SANMark testing the University of New Hampshire InterOperabilityLaboratory (UNH-IOL) will use to conduct a wide array of protocol, emulation and load testing of 4 Gigabit Fibre Channel products. SANMark testing is a joint development of Finisar Corporation, a technology leader for fiber optic components and network test and monitoring systems, and the UNH-IOL.The UNH-IOL is the only test house in the United States fully approved to perform all conformance and physical-layer testing for next-generation hard drives and other Serial ATA (SATA) data storage devices as outlined by the Serial ATA International Organization (SATA-IO), the industry association dedicated to advancing SATA technology.
Hagen, who is working towards his Ph.D. in computer science at UNH, serves as Project Assistant at the lab.
