Every member of the senior class of computer science majors at St. Bonaventure passed the Educational Testing Services Major Field Exam in Computer Science. The exam is a review of materials normally covered in an undergraduate computer science program. The Computer Science Department at St. Bonaventure requires seniors to take and pass the exam as part of its graduation requirements.

"The exam provides students an opportunity to reflect on and review materials they have studied over the previous three years," said Dr. David Levine, Professor of Computer Science and this year's exam administrator. "In addition it provides us with data that enables us to compare our program with major programs at other universities."

Students attend optional review sessions conducted by faculty members.

The exam is administered online, enabling students to obtain results in a much shorter time than in previous years.

"We always expect our majors to pass," said Levine. "We are pleased with the 100% pass rate on the first attempt this year."
